About Ryan Swain
Ryan Swain is a Jackson New Jersey native who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the youth, junior, and college hockey world. Ryan played local tier 2 youth hockey until he joined the New Jersey Rockets Junior program at age 17. Ryan spent 2 seasons with the Rockets before leaving for the NOJHL Kirkland Lake Goldminers. After one season there Ryan finished playing junior for the Northern Cyclones. From there Ryan went on to Northland College (NCAA 3) for a short stint, before 3 years at Neumann University (NCAA 3). Ryan has been involved in the hockey community as not only a player, but as a referee for 15 Years, and a skills coach for the past 5 years. He was the head coach for the New Jersey Titans 16u American and 18u Elite teams during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons. He has been named the Jersey Whalers Hockey Director for the 2023-2024 season.
What is Swain’s Hockey Skills & Development?
Swain’s Hockey Skills and Development improves players at any age and skill level through repetitive drill work in all camps, clinics, group and private lessons. They offer private and group sessions, clinics, summer camps, as well as traveling spring and summer teams. The staff consists of all current Jr A, NCAA, and professional players. Ryan strongly believes the most important part of these sessions is understanding what is being taught and working hard to complete each rep.
